This is perhaps one of few bands whose existence remained obscure to this very date. Boasting a short spanning career, Funerality are the most occult black metal band to have hailed from Brunei Darussalam. Fronted by Shyataan with the other two occult practitioners being Unholy Saint and Lob Omen, they embarked on a quest to fulfill their insatiable lust for dark menacing knowledge from beyond the realms of the living. Prior releasing this demo, at least two promotional tapes have been circulating in the metal reinforced underground bunker built specifically to accommodate this type of art. Despite having the worst probable quality ever known to sanity (digitally transferred from tape by underground militant activist Andika), some songs on this demo are as haunting as an abandoned mansion deep in the dead of night. One has to be patient enough to tolerate a 20 - minute long auditory torture inflicted by this demo. They later disbanded with Shyataan and Unholy Saint went on to form Sahujja'Achra. This proves that age old militants will never say die! These guys are at least persistent in their effort. The only thing they don't have enough is time. Budgetary concerns also comes into mind though; with majority of these occultists are now committed to lead their own family. No matter what they say, if there is a will there is a way.

are you from Brunei actually?
ReplyDeleteI am searching for Sarcophagus' "the Cremation" demo. Do you have or know someone who has it?
Yes. I'm a proud Bruneian. I've been searching for that band's demo, if any, by asking veterans from the early 90s but it seems that majority of them do not have any idea where the tape is, let alone the band members themselves.
ReplyDeleteI see, how about Tombcrusher's first two demos, maybe you have them?
ReplyDeleteHoho.. those two are almost, if not impossible, to find. Can't know if anyone still has the tapes
ReplyDeleteCould you please re-upload this demo?
