Sil Khannaz - (2000) Bara Pawaka

 

A friend of mine lent me the digipak version of Bara Pawaka. I thought it might as well be interesting to have in my collection so I ripped the CD onto my laptop using EAC. At that time I didn't have a knack on using .flac since the ripping configuration was way too Greek for me. Now I have it in .mp3 format. It's nevertheless lossy but it seems to be worthwhile at the moment. I could hardly say negative things about this album, nor do I have significant amount of positive thought about it either. What do you think?

Sil Khannaz - (1993) Conception of Madness

This was the band that I got acquainted with after XPDC. Yes. They were both from Malaysia. However, this album came late into my possession. I first listened to Sil Khannaz after my brother purchased the original compilation titled Purnama 13 which greeted me with Santapan Terakhir Raja Bersiong; a song that to this day still rung strongly in my head. I began searching for their older materials since experienced metal fans often suggested me to look for newly discovered bands for their back catalog. It happened that Conception of Madnes was their debut full length. With tracks that fans often notoriously associated with Sil Khannaz, this album was indeed something that one should not forget to keep in their possession.
