Brunei's legendary metal act Draconaeon have announced the release of their mini CD entitled Shades of Sorrow. This magnum opus first crawled out from beneath the murky depths of obscurity in 2006. Miniscule copies of the EP are distributed to zines for review purposes, most of which are obviously positive. Dare I say that Draconaeon are the remaining hope for metal in Brunei; no other metal bands in my country have the same ingenuity, passion and conviction in executing their sorrowful arts. With metalcore, hardcore and deathcore on the rise, Draconaeon maintained their straight path in a quest to deliver the most potent doses of crunching heaviness in semblance of intertwined harmony. The official release date was on October 30 2012. Nevertheless, I'm gonna get myself a copy of this reissue and if you really are into extreme metal, and especially if you're not Bruneian, I suggest you do the same.
