Malevolent Creation - (1992) Retribution

Malevolent Creation were among the early death metal bands that helped to proliferate the genre's development during the mid 90s. Beginning with The Ten Commandments, Malevolent Creation had a promising career ahead of them. This was evident during the release of Retribution which received largely positive reviews among metal community. Many fans pointed out that this album was the cornerstone in their discography. It was however short lived when Stillborn came into being; the success of Malevolent Creation began to go downhill as the latter eclipsed the band's previous achievement. It was also reported that Malevolent Creation wanted to return to Morrisound Recording Studio but they were denied access due to financial problems and poor receptions that led them being dropped from the label. Subsequent records were managed by various labels, with Malevolent Creation now being signed to Nuclear Blast. In my opinion however, Retribution is indeed their greatest album to date since its atmosphere is classic in exclusivity.
